Nilphamari Municipality distributes blankets to 400 people

Blankets have been distributed to the helpless, poor and cold-stricken people in Nilphamari at the initiative of Nilphamari Municipality on Friday afternoon.
400 people got blankets at the Shilpakala Auditorium with the overall support of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nairuzzaman was the chief guest at the blanket distribution ceremony presided over by Nilphamari Municipality Administrator Saidul Islam.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Jyoti Bikash Chandra, Convener of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement District Committee Syed Mehedi Hasan Ashiq, Member Secretary Alif Siddique Prantar, Joint Convener Syed Zaman Raju, Ratan Sarkar Ratan, Raisul Islam Amlan and Borhan Ahmed spoke.
Municipal Administrator Saidul Islam said, earlier blankers were distributed to 300 people, including sanitation workers, Harijans, and backward classes.
