Madrasa student killed in road accident in Bhuyapur

A child student named Huzaifa Alif Mandal (12), a madrasa student, was killed in a head-on collision between a bamboo-laden Nasimon car and a bicycle in Bhuyapur, Tangail.
Although the Nasimon car was seized by the police in the incident, the killer driver fled.
The incident took place at Bagbari in Gobindasi Union on the Jamuna Bridge-Bhuyapur regional highway at around 11:30 am on Friday (February 7).
Huzaifa Alif was the son of Eklacha of Bhadurichar Paschim Para village in Gobindasi Union of the upazila and a student of the Hifz department of Hafiziya Madrasa in Shaldair.
Eyewitnesses said that the child was going home from Gobindasi by bicycle in the morning. On the way, when he reached the Bagbari area, a bamboo-laden Nasimon from Bhuyapur collided head-on with the bicycle.
The child lost control and fell off the bicycle, seriously injuring him on the spot. Later, locals rescued him in critical condition and sent him to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared the child dead.
Bhuyapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AKM Rezaul Karim said that after receiving the information, police were sent to the spot. The child's body is at the hospital. The child's body will be handed over to his relatives after completing the legal process.
