An allegation has been made against a lecturer of Baravita School and College of Kishoreganj Upazila of Nilphamari for taking the secondary level students of the college to his institution under various temptations to establish a private school.

In this regard, the teachers and staff of the school and college have made a written complaint against the lecturer to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.

According to the complaint, Badsha Alamgir, a lecturer of Baravita School and College, who is known as a friend of Aawami League, established a residential model school near that college. He admitted the students from the 6th to 10th standard of the secondary branch of the college in his school by applying various temptations and pressure. The college is said to have admitted more than two hundred students to its school last year.

The students of the college have been admitted this year too. The number of students of the college has decreased day by day. Mahir Uddin Basunia, the senior member of Kishoreganj Upazila Awami League executive committee number 6 and the principal of Baravita School and College who retired on November 27 last year, has been assisting him in this work.

A lecturer who did not want to be named said Awami League friend and blessed King Alamgir. During the rule of the Awami League, he took many privileges from the leaders of the Awami League.

Besides, the picture of Badshah Alamgir speaking as a special guest at the opening ceremony of Baravita Union Awami League office in December 2023 went viral on Facebook. 2024 Baravita Awami League's banner offered floral tributes at Kishoreganj Shaheed Minar on International Mother Language Day. On Victory Day in 2023 under the banner of Awami-supported 'Upzella Nagrik Committee', he offered wreaths at Shaheed Minar.

Meanwhile, since the principal of Baravita School and College has retired, lecturer Badsha Alamgir has stepped down to share the post of Akshyak. For this, he has taken various measures, including sit-ins to various offices and various political leaders.

In this regard, the lecturer denied taking the students of Badshah Alamgir College to his school and said that a circle has started a conspiracy to humiliate me.

Kishoreganj UNO Moushumi Haque said, I have received a complaint against that lecturer. He said that action will be taken against him if the allegations are found to be true after investigation.
