The Iftar Mahfil was held at the initiative of Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila Jamaat.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila organized the Iftar Mahfil with the professionals and union officials of the upazila.

Sadar Upazila Jamaat Ameer Lecturer Mahibur Rahman presided over the event and Upazila Secretary Maulana Ruhul Amin Khandaker conducted the event.

Jamaat-e-Islami's nominated candidate for the Lalmonirhat Sadar (Lalmonirhat-3) constituency, Janneta Lecturer Harun Or Rashid, was present as the chief guest.

Central Majlish-e-Shura Member and Lalmonirhat District Ameer Adv Abu Taher discussed the importance and significance of Ramadan as the main discussant. Special guests included Nayeb Ameer Maulana Habibur Rahman of the Lalmonirhat District Branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, District Assistant Secretary Hafez Shah Alam, District Executive Committee Member and President of the Lalmonirhat District Branch of Bangladesh Workers Welfare Federation, Renael Alam, Lalmonirhat Municipal Ameer Maulana Joynal Abedin, President of the Lalmonirhat District Branch of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, Student Leader Abu Taleb, District Shibir Secretary Student Leader Rashedul Hasan Liju, President of the Upazila Youth Division, Sohel Parvez, and Assistant Secretary of the Upazila Youth Division, Al Amin Hasan, among others.

The chief guest said that in this month of the revelation of the Quran, an enlightened society should be built in the light of the Quran. Those responsible for the religion should play a more leading role in upholding the rule of Allah.

The chief guest said that without Islamic teachings, no worldly policy or rule can provide sustainable welfare to humanity. We need to utilize the teachings of Ramadan to build a Quranic society.

The Iftar Mahfil was ended with the prayer of District Nayeb Ameer Maulana Habibur Rahman.
