JnU BCL leaders allegedly attack journalists

The leaders and activists of Jagannath University (JnU) branch of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) allegedly attacked t journalists on Sunday.
They beat up four journalists of different newspapers.
The attack took place in front of the main gate of Jagannath University and in front of Victoria Park.
It is learnt from the eyewitnesses that on this day at 2:40 p.m., the BNP leader Ishraq's car fleet was attacked by JnU BCL activists. Later, BCL workers ambushed JnU representatives of Daily Naya Shatabdi Toha Islam, taking away his mobile phone while he was making a video.
Later, when other journalists from the campus went to identify the attackers, under the leadership of Chhatra League President Ibrahim Faraji, they ambushed the journalists again, including president group worker Sujan Das Orka, Turja, and Raihan Kabir.
Four journalists were seriously injured. They are : Toha Islam of Naya Shatabdi, Imran Hussain of Samakal, Mahatab Limon of Dhaka Post, and Rocky Ahmed, representative of Bhorer Paper. They are currently undergoing treatment at Salimullah Medical College.
