Jaintapur Online Press Club held an Iftar and Doa Mahfil in Jaintapur, Sylhet at Jaintapur Hill Resort in Alubagan, Jaintia on Thursday.

Former Chairman of Jaintapur Upazila Parishad and Secretary General of District Jamaat, Alhaj Joynal Abedin, and Jaintapur UNO George Mitra Chakma were present as invited guests.

In a brief discussion meeting before the Iftar, the guests expressed their gratitude and thanks to all the journalists of Jaintapur Online Press Club and said that journalism is the mirror of society. They called on the journalists to highlight the irregularities and mismanagement of society through objective news reporting, as well as to highlight the successful entrepreneurs of the society and their achievements.

In his speech, he called for preserving the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan as well as highlighting the significance of Ramadan in front of everyone.
