Inter-departmental football competition begins at DU

Dhaka University Inter-Department Football Competition started on Wednesday at the Central Stadium.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Admin) engaged in the routine duties of the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University. Saima Haque Bidisha was present as the chief guest and inaugurated the competition.
President of Dhaka University Football Committee. the mouth Chairman, teachers, students and officials of various departments including acting director of physical education center SM Zakaria were present in the opening ceremony under the chairmanship of Rafiqul Islam.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) engaged in the routine duties of the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University. Saima Haque Vidisha emphasized on regular participation of students in sports and co-curricular activities for physical and mental well-being. Highlighting the various successes of the students of Dhaka University in the field of co-educational activities and sports, he said that the university administration will always stand by the students in achieving excellence in these fields. He appealed to the students to participate in the sports competition maintaining discipline and respect for each other.
It is noted that 83 football teams of the university are participating in this competition. The inaugural match was held between Management Department and Banking and Insurance Department.
