Heavy cold wave has been prevailing across the country, along with thick fog and hot winds, the hardships of the hapless poor people of rural areas cannot be overstated. A social voluntary organization named Chikni 'Hilful Fujul Jubo Sangh' of Tarail Upazila of Kishoreganj has come to the side of these poor people.

307 poor and helpless families from Chikni, Auzia, Kauli, Lakhpur, Bhawal, Kona Bhawal, Shibpur, Purura-Surangal, Shahbagh, Arayura, Kundrati, Akubpur and Chenguriya villages on Friday (January 3) at 3 pm in the ground of Chikni Aujia Primary School in Taljanga Union of Upazila. Sometimes winter clothes are distributed.

Abdul Khalek, senior former officer of Pubali Bank PLC, was present as the chief guest, Md. Sabbir Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tarail police station.

Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Party Tarail Upazila branch joint convener Akram Hossain Parvez was present as a special guest, Tarail Upazila Taljanga Union BNP president and eminent social worker Md. Omar Farooq Kanchan.

SI Lutfur Rahman of Tarail police station, distinguished social worker Abdul Wadud Farooq, UP member of Ward No. 9 of Taljanga Union Parishad, Abul Hashem, former UP member Abdul Hekim Bhuya Solaiman, prominent businessman Abdul Hekim, Akubpur Progressive Kindergarten, spoke as invited guests. Head teacher Md. Shariful Islam and others of the organization Members and dignitaries of the area were present on the occasion.

The program started with the welcome speech of Hafez Maulana Rafiqul Islam, the respected member of Chikni Hillful Fuzul Juba Sangh.

During this time, the speakers presented various types of service work of the organization throughout the year for the audience. The speakers said, we have been in the service of humanity in the past, are still there and will be in the future (Inshallah).
