Child welfare meeting on prevention of child labour, child marriage held at Jaldhaka

Upazila Child Welfare Board held a meeting on prevention of dangerous child labour and child marriage in Jaldhaka of Nilphamari on Monday.
This meeting was held with all the members in the office of the UNO organized by the Upazila Administration and Social Service Office and with the support of Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) and Plan International Bangladesh. In the meeting, the members of the Child Welfare Board sought UNO's cooperation in various fields
including seminars to prevent child marriage and increase awareness about the protection of children by making the Child Welfare Board more dynamic. In addition, the children expressed their opinions in the light of observing the child rights situation by highlighting issues such as not marrying children below the age of 18 and dangerous child labor in accordance with the government rules.
Upazila Child Welfare Board President and UNO Zaid Imrul Mojakkin attended this quarterly meeting, Child Welfare Board General Secretary and Upazila Social Service Officer Kamruzzaman, Police Station SI Hasan, Women Affairs Officer Purbi Rani Roy, ESDO Technical Coordinator (C&Y Lead and Protection) Liton, Technical Coordinator Bakul Chandra and Bayezid Bappi of Burman and Youth Network were present.
Upazila Child Welfare Board members were present in the meeting.
