BIWTC should be role model for development : Khalid Mahmud

State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury MP said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the turning point of our country's independence.
We got independence under his leadership. He turned a poverty-stricken country into an underdeveloped country. Those who failed in the war of independence, had a deep conspiracy to thwart the development of Bangabandhu. Failing in everything, they killed Bangabandhu and his family. Then the country plunged into darkness, and never saw the face of light.
Our current turning point is Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh has progressed a lot in the last 15 years under his leadership. Bangladesh stands tall in the world. Has been a role model for development. If Bangladesh can be a role model for development, why can't BIWTC be a role model for development? Today the new committee of Officers Association of BIWTC will be sworn in. We must stand tall. BIWTC should be a role model for development.
The State Minister made these remarks while addressing the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected Executive Council of BIWTC Officers Association at the main auditorium of Shahbagsth National Museum in Dhaka today.
Under the chairmanship of newly -elected Eecutive Council President of BIWTC Officers Association AKM Shahjahan, Senior secretary of the Ministry of Shipping Md. Mostafa Kamal, Chairman of BIWTC Dr. AKM Motiur Rahman, General Secretary of the organization Md. Rubeluzzaman were present.
