Bangladeshi Karate and Wushu player Tanjina Mitu won the championship award at the Gautam Buddha International Karate Competition-2025 held in Nepal this year.She won the honor of becoming the champion by participating in the 3rd Gautam Buddha International Karate Competition held in Nepal on February 7 and 8.Meghna Bank Limited sponsored Mitu to participate in this competition.

With whose support, Mitu achieved this rare achievement.

Mitu, who achieved a rare achievement by highlighting the reputation of Bangladesh in the international arena, won a gold medal by participating in a karate competition in India in 2024 by riding a bicycle.

A daughter of Comilla,Mitu is currently studying English at Scholar University in the capital. In addition to her studies, Mitu received training from SWKF Club, MMA and Wushu Fight Club to develop herself as a skilled player.

Karate and Wushu player Mitu is trying to present herself in the international arena. In the past year, she has traveled to 64 districts of the country on a bicycle despite being a girl. She has tried to present her identity in each district.She remembers the names of Mahbubur Rahman Sir, Jewel Moazzim Sir, Zakaria Rahman Sir, Mesbah Uddin Azad Sir, , Kakoli Ma, Jasmine Apu, Belal Ahmed, Chanchal Sir, Ranas Sir, Tony Sir, Bishwajit Barua Sir, Nawab Sir, Selim Zahid Sir, Zahurul Haque Sir, Shams Sir with gratitude for her achievements.

Mitu said, becoming a champion is not only for me but also for my Bangladesh. According to the history, tradition and culture of Nepal, those who participate in sports and become champions are welcomed by applying paint on their faces. Since I became the champion in my category, they applied paint on my face according to their tradition.
