A new committee for the 13 nong Umedpur Union of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish was formed on Monday after the Zuhor prayer at Bishnudia purbo para jame mosque in Shailkupa upazila.

The event was graced by the presence of maulana Shafiuddin is the vice president of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish’s Jhenaidah district committee as the chief guest. The session was conducted by maulana Alomgir hossain is the President of the Shailkupa upazila committee, while Md. Asaduzzaman (Lal) is the general secretary of the district committee who was supervised the overall proceedings.

Among the notable attendees were maulana Mofizur rahman is the general secretary of the Shailkupa upazila Committee; Md Kajol shah who was organizational secretary; Joynal Abedin is the assistant office secretary and Md Abdul Alim who is the Secretary of Publicity and Publications. In the newly formed committee’s Md. Mostakim Billah Liton was appointed as President. while Md Sahabuddin took charge as General Secretary.

Additionally Md Faruk hossain, Md Shahjahan, Md Mizanur Rahman, Md Akamat Kazi and Md Rojob Kazi were appointed as Vice Presidents. Md Pintu biswas assumed the role of assistant general secretary with Md Osman Ali as Organizing Secretary. Md Kabir Kazi and Md Moazzem were named Assistant organizational secretaries. Md Amzad Hossain was entrusted with the responsibility of Baitulmal (Finance) secretary, Md Monowar Kazi was appointed Assistant training secretary and Md Shariful Islam took charge as social welfare secretary.

The formation of the committee marks a significant step in strengthening the organizational structure of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish in the region aiming to enhance its activities and community engagement in Umedpur Union.
