There is a group who says reforms first, elections later, this is not possible. No interim government can or will reform the country. A government elected by the people's vote can complete all the reforms in the country. Therefore, elections first, reforms later. National elections should be held by next December, said Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, a member of the standing committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP.

He said these as the chief guest at a rally organized by Munshiganj District BNP at the old bus stand area of Munshiganj Sadar on Monday afternoon.

He also said that some are demanding local government elections first. But the people's demand is the national parliament elections. I would like to tell those who are talking about local government elections first, prominent people of the area run for local government elections. They work on the development of the area. Their responsibility is not a national responsibility, the national responsibility is that of the national parliament.

Under the chairmanship of Munshiganj District BNP Convener and former State Minister for Health Mizanur Rahman Sinha and moderated by Munshiganj District BNP Member Secretary Md. Mohiuddin, Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Dhaka Division Organizing Secretary Kazi Sayedul Alam Babul was present as the main speaker. Also present at the time were Tongibari Upazila BNP President Tajgar Ripon Mallick, Sirajdikhan Upazila BNP President Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, Munshiganj Sadar BNP General Secretary Saidur Rahman Fakir, Munshiganj District Jubo Dal Convener Dewan Mujibur Rahman, Member Secretary Md. Masud Rana, Munshiganj District Chhatra Dal President Abul Hashem, General Secretary Zahidur Rahman Jalam, Women's Dal President Selina Akhter Bina and other leaders and activists of the organization were present.
