4 terrorists including accused in 24 cases arrested in Mirsarai

There have been long-standing allegations of torture and extortion by terrorist groups in Khirmurali village under Zorarganj police station in Mirsarai Upazila of Chittagong.
Based on the information and operation of the Zorarganj Police Station, RAB-15, CPSC, Cox's Bazar Camp arrested Md. Hoksab (27), a listed terrorist of Zorarganj Police Station, from Laboni Point of Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station at around 2 am on August 9. Along with him, Yusuf Prakash Daktar (26) of Mehedi Nagar village, Md. Abu Said (27) of Khilmurali village and Emran Hossain (27) of Kadam Tala area of East Hinguli were arrested and handed over to RAB-7 Feni Camp.
During the interrogation of Md. Hoksab by RAB Feni, 2 single-shooter guns and 4 cartridges were recovered from his secret custody based on the information provided by him.
A case has been filed against Md. Hoksab under the Arms Act by RAB-7. He has a one-year sentence in a drug case and an arrest warrant in three separate cases, including one. He is accused in a total of 24 cases. The other arrested are also named and suspected accused in multiple cases filed by Zorarganj Police Station.
Zorarganj Police Station OC Md. Abdul Halim said, "Our regular special operation is continuing to make Zorarganj Police Station area free from terrorism and extortion. This operation will be accelerated if the victims complain to us and the public of the area cooperates." The arrested accused have been sent to jail through a learned court.
