3 BNP leaders reinstated as suspension lifted

Former South District BNP convener Abu Sufian, former senior joint convener of Patia Enamul Haque Enam, and former convener of Karnaphuli Upazila BNP SM Mamun Mia have regained their party membership.
On September 1, their positions were suspended over allegations of violating party discipline.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi issued separate letters regarding lifting of suspension on Wednesday (Dec 25).
The letters stated that the suspensions were initially imposed under Section 5(c) of the party constitution due to clear allegations of engaging in anti-disciplinary activities. Following appeals, the party has reinstated their memberships and positions effective immediately.
The BNP expects them to work towards strengthening the party and adhering to its discipline, with a warning to avoid any future violations.
