They were identified as Nazrul Islam, 12, son of Md. Nazir Ahmed of Khunkar Para under Sadar union of Teknaf upazila and Imran Hossain alias Babul, 13, son of Korban Ali of the same area.

Locals and eyewitnesses said that a group of children numbering 10 to 15 were bathing in the bay in Teknaf Sadar around 12 noon on Sunday.

At one stage, three boys were swept away by the current. Hearing the hue and cries, locals rushed to the spot and recovered the body of 10-year-old Nur Kamal. But Nazrul and Babul went missing.
