National Fisheries Week inaugurated in Baraigram

National Fisheries Week-2025 was inaugurated in Baraigram Upazila of Natore. A discussion meeting was held. It was formally inaugurated on Monday at the Upazila Parishad premises by UNO Laila Jannatul Ferdous. On the inaugural day, a colourful rally and a discussion meeting were organized in the Upazila premises. Also, fish fry were released in the pond.
The discussion meeting organized at the Upazila Auditorium under the chairmanship of Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Mr. Murad Hossain Pramanik and moderated by Assistant Upazila Fisheries Officer Mobashir Hossain Upazila Nirbahi Officer Laila Jannatul Ferdous was present as a chief guest and Upazila Animal Resources Officer Noor Alam Siddiqui and Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Sajib Al Maruf were present as special guests. In addition, Assistant Professor (Retd.) Md. Abul Khayer Khan , freedom fighter Abul Khayer Bepari, fish farmers Jamal Uddin, Ansar Ali, journalist Saifur Rahman spoke there. At the end of the meeting, the three best fish farmers of the upazila were given crests and honorary awards.
