Abducted schoolgirl rescued with help of locals, one arrested in Moheshkhali

A human chain was formed on Monday (11 August) at 1:30 PM demanding exemplary punishment for those involved in the abduction of a sixth-grade student from "Panirchhara Adarsha High School" in Huanak, Moheshkhali.
On 10 August at 9:30 AM, a youth named Monir abducted a sixth-grade student in uniform from the school gate in broad daylight.
When the matter became known in the area, the abducted student was rescued with the help of locals, and the abductor was handed over to the police.
The abductor is the son of Ershadul Haque from the Barghorpara area of Huanak.
Speakers at the human chain demanded the swift legal action and exemplary punishment for those involved in the abduction.
In this incident, the father of the abducted student filed a case at the police station.
The president of the school management committee, Dr. Mahfuzul Haque said, those involved in the abduction need to be brought to justice quickly.
OC of Moheshkhali police station, Manzurul Haque said, the abductor has been arrested and operations are ongoing to identify and bring the accomplices to justice.
