The country’s largest electrical, electronics, and technology product sales and service provider, Walton Plaza, has provided more than Tk. 2  crore as financial assistance to over 800 installment protection cardholder families nationwide. 

Along with the financial assistance, the company has also waived all outstanding installment payments of deceased cardholder customers. The amount of installments waived stands at about  Tk.2 crore. 

This financial support has been provided under Walton Plaza’s Installment Buyers and Family Protection Policy. 

Walton Plaza authorities introduced this protection policy for customers who purchase products on installment. Under this policy, customers purchasing products on installment from any Walton Plaza outlet across the country receive an Installment Protection Card. Based on the purchased product value, if the buyer dies while the installment is ongoing, financial assistance ranging from Tk. 50,000 to Tk. 300,000 is provided, and in case of the death of a family member, Tk. 25,000 to Tk. 150,000 is given. Additionally, all unpaid installments of the product are waived in the event of the cardholder’s death. Walton Plaza’s protection policy has already generated a huge response among customers nationwide.

Walton Plaza’s Managing Director, Mohammad Raihan, said, “Walton Plaza’s aim is not just to make profits. Walton is today’s top electronics brand in the country because of its customers. Therefore, we have many responsibilities toward them. Providing them with high-quality products and proper service is our moral duty. To further strengthen customers’ trust in Walton products, enhance customer relations, and brighten the company’s reputation and image, we introduced the Installment Buyers and Family Protection Policy. Under this policy, if an installment protection cardholder passes away, his family immediately receives cash support for funeral expenses from the respective Walton Plaza. Additionally, depending on the product value, the family receives financial assistance, and all outstanding installments are waived. Already, we have provided more than Tk. 20 million in financial assistance to over 800 installment protection cardholder families across the country. Several more families are currently waiting to receive assistance.”

He further stated that not only financial support is being provided, but employment opportunities at Walton are also being arranged for qualified members of deceased cardholder families. Walton is the only company in the world to provide such protection and benefits to customers purchasing products on installment. This noble initiative is enhancing Walton Plaza’s reputation and image, while also benefiting ordinary customer families.

It is mentioned  that, alongside financial assistance for installment protection cardholders, Walton Plaza has also arranged maximum services and special benefits such as discounts at renowned hospitals, diagnostic centers, life insurance, restaurants, and various other institutions across the country. Walton Plaza authorities said these initiatives are aimed at ensuring that installment buyers enjoy special facilities in food, clothing, education, healthcare, and other areas during their lifetime. They also mentioned that the initiative will continue and its scope will gradually be expanded.
