Imran, Tushi in Sumon’s ‘Roid’

Mejbaur Rahman Sumon’s debut directorial film “Hawa” starring Chanchal Chowdhury, Nazifa Tushi, and Sariful Razz was released in 2022. Sumon got much appreciation for his first film and “Hawa” was successful in the theaters as well. Two years after the release of the movie, the director started shooting for his next film.
The title of the upcoming project is “Roid”, featuring Mostafizur Noor Imran and Nazifa Tushi in the lead roles. According to several sources, the shooting of a lot of the movie ended on Friday (18 October) in Sreemangal.
Sumon announced the production of the film three years ago. “Roid” received a government grant in FY 2020-21, produced by Jaya Ahsan.
Jaya received a government grant of 60 lakh taka for the production of the movie. However, she returned the grant earlier this year as she could not start the film on time. Earlier Jaya said to a local media that the film’s production process is getting delayed due to various reasons. That’s why she returned the money.
Sumon said that “Roid” will be produced in the new arrangement. But the producer of the movie has changed. Now the new producer of the movie is Bengal Creations.
However, associates of the film do not want to make any comments before the shooting of the movie is over.
