The upazila administration in Shibganj, Bogura conducted a operation to remove illegal structures built on government land and fined two pharmacies 6,000 taka for storing expired medicines.
UNO Ziaur Rahman conducted the operation at Gangnagar Bazar and Rahbal bazar in Deuli Union of the upazila on Tuesday at 12 noon. During this time, several illegal structures built on government land adjacent to the land office in Gangnagar Bazar were demolished and land was released, and a mobile court was conducted in Rahabal Bazar and Jamuna Pharmacy was fined 2,000 taka and Jamuna Plus Pharmacy 4,000 taka for storing expired medicines.
Shibganj UNO Ziaur Rahman said, after receiving complaints about illegal structures, they were demolished and fined for expired medicines in pharmacies. Legal action will be taken against such activities in the future.
