The Passenger Rights Protection Forum has called for a half-hour hartal if bus fare reduction on all routes from Narayanganj and 'half fare' for students is not implemented. The leaders of the organization said that there will be a half hour strike in Narayanganj on November 17.

The leaders of Narayanganj Passenger Rights Protection Forum called a press conference at Narayanganj Press Club on Saturday.

In this, the leaders demanded reasonable fares on all routes including Narayanganj Link Road one-way fare from Tk 55 to Tk 45, half fare for students and AC bus fare at Tk 65.

Rafiur Rabbi, convener of Narayanganj Passenger Rights Protection Forum, read the written statement at this time. Narayanganj Citizens Committee President AB Siddique, Amra Narayanganjbasi President Noor Uddin Ahmed, Citizen-Sujan Narayanganj District Committee President for Good Governance Dhiman Saha Jewel, Communist Party District President Hafizul Islam and many others were present in the press conference.

In the press conference, the leaders of Narayanganj Passenger Rights Protection Forum announced that if the 3-point demand is not met, they will hold a half-day hartal from 6 am to 2 pm in Narayanganj city on November 17.

At that time, the convener of the organization, Rafiur Rabbi, said that after August 5, the godfathers fled. In this situation, we want no other godfather to hold the transport sector hostage.
