Zobayer faction's protest triggers huge tailback on highway

The supporters of Maulana Zobayer faction are staging demonstration, halting traffic movement on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway over the clash with the followers of Maulana Saad Kandhalvi.
Around 10AM on Wednesday, the followers of Zobayer took position on the highway. A huge tailback is created on both sides of the highway.
The protesters alleged that on Tuesday night, followers of Zobayer faction have been beat up and driven out from Ijtema ground. The ground was then filled up with bloods.
They warned that they will continue the protest until the Saad followers handed them over the control of the ground.
Mawlana Iqramuzzaman Bateb said, "Our fellows were killed during Tahajjud prayer. Protesting the incident, Alems blcoked the highway.'
Three people were killed and scores injured as clash reportedly erupted between respective followers of Maulana Zobayer and Maulana Saad Kandhalvi factions at Tongi's Ijtema ground early Wednesday.
