Youth commits suicide by jumping under train in Gafargaon

A young man named Alamin (26) died after being hit by the Dhaka-bound Inter Nagar Hour Express train at Gafargaon in Mymensingh. The accident happened at Shilasi area of Dhaka-Mymensingh railway at 12 noon on Sunday (January 29).
Gafargaon GRP outpost police recovered the body after receiving information about the accident. The deceased is the son of deceased Shahid Mia of Kanya Mandal village of Dattar Bazar Union of Alamin Upazila.
According to local sources, the Dhaka-bound Inter Nagar Haor Express train left Gafargaon station at around 12 am on Sunday. Alamin, a young man, jumped under the train when the train crossed the Shilasi area. He died on the spot. After receiving information, GRP outpost police came and recovered the body.
In charge of Gafargaon GRP outpost. Rafiqul Islam said, 'We recovered the body after receiving the news. The cause of death is under investigation. In this regard, legal action will be taken according to the instructions of the higher authority.
