Young man killed by sharp weapon over land dispute in Gobindaganj

A young man named Emran Ali (35) was killed in a dispute over land in Gobindaganj of Gaibandha by the opponent's Upuryapuri sharp weapon.

The deceased is the son of Abdul Latif of Ulipur village of Emran Shalmara Union.

This incident took place on Saturday afternoon at the Manar intersection of Mahimaganj market in the upazila. Police arrested 2 people in this incident.

Locals said that on Saturday afternoon, Emran Ali was sitting in a shop at Manar Mor in Mahimaganj Bazar.

At that time, two soldiers armed with various sharp weapons attacked him and ran away after hitting him with sharp weapons.

Meanwhile, the locals rescued him and brought him to Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex where the working doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-charge of Gobindganj police station Shamsul Alam Shah said Emran Ali had a long-standing dispute with his neighbor over land. Among them are two cases.

Due to this land dispute, the opponents killed him with sharp weapons. Two people have been detained for questioning on suspicion of involvement in the incident.

A murder case has been registered in this incident.
