World press Freedom Day observed, Workshop held in Jamalpur

A day-long workshop on exchange of experiences was held on the occassion of World Press Freedom Day on May 3 from 10 am at Jamalpurc District Press Club Hall. It was organized by Jamalpur District Press Club.
Deputy Commissioner Shafiur Rahman was present as the chief guest and inaugurated the workshop.
District Press Club president Advocate Yusuf Ali presided over the workshop. As resource persons-Mymensingh Bureau Chief of Jamuna Television Hussain Shahid, Dainik Ajker Jamalpur Editor MA Jalil, Jamalpur District Press Club General Secretary Shubhra Mehdi, Bangladesh Betar correspondent Fazle Elahi Makam.
The workshop focuses on establishing the profession as a vision by addressing the barriers to contemporary journalism in today's global context.
The conviction of building a smart Bangladesh of the future by using the perspective of journalism is expressed.
Senior Jamalpur Information Officer Jalal Ahmed distributed certificates among 50 print and electronic media journalists and cameramen who participated in the workshop.
