
World Bank delegation visits Rohingya camps

A seven-member delegation from the World Bank visited the Rohingya Camp 20 Extension in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday at around 10:00 AM.
As part of the visit, the team inspected the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Treatment Centre and received a briefing from officials of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) regarding the medical services provided there. The delegation also spoke with Rohingya beneficiaries and toured different sections of the facility.
Later, at around 11:00 AM, the team visited the Rohingya Cultural Memory Centre operated by IOM at Block E/L-17 of Camp-18. During the visit, Rohingya artists performed traditional songs and played instruments to showcase their cultural heritage.
The visiting delegation included Rafi Hossain
(Operations Officer, World Bank), Sabah Moin (Social Development Specialist), Giorgi Bella Fritsche (Senior Health Specialist), Jayati Shetty (Social Development Specialist), Sabina Parvin (Extended Term Consultant – Social Development), and Consultants Mohammad Abdus Sabur and Tanzina Rahman.
