Keeping the slogan 'Implementation of Islamic labour policy is inevitable to establish the rights of working people', a huge workers gathering was organized in a local hall room on Friday under the initiative of ‘Bangladesh Shromik Kollayan Federation’ Rangpur Mahiganj branch.

Prominent social worker and politician Professor Mahbubar Rahman Belal was present as the chief guest in the workers gathering under the chairmanship of Advocate Aminul Islam Ratan, the President of Bangladesh Shromik Kollayan Fedearation Rangpur Mahiganj Branch. Prominent social worker and politician Vice Principal ATM Azam Khan and veteran labour leader Professor Abul Hashem Badal were present as special guests.

Local labour leaders including ‘Bangladesh Shromik Kallayan Federation’ Rangpur Metropolitan branch President Shariful Islam and Metropolitan branch Vice President Professor Muttalib Hossain were present in the gathering.

The Chief Guest Prof. Mahbubar Rahman Belal said in his speech, "The status given to workers in Islam is incomparable. Islam is the only religion that provides the workers to pay their wages before their sweat dries. Therefore, I think there is no alternative to the implementation of Islamic labour policy in establishing the rights of working people.”

Special guest Vice President ATM Azam Khan called upon the workers to be well organized to implement the Islamic labour policy and to adhere to Islamic principles in their lives.

Delivering speech to the labourers, Professor Abul Hashem Badal called for building strong organization in every corner of Rangpur city.
