Woman's body recovered in Tala

The body of a missing woman was found under a culvert in Tala, Satkhira. Police recovered the body from the area adjacent to Harishchandrakati Government Primary School on Monday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Selina Begum (45). She is the wife of Md. Rahmat Khan of Harishchandrakati village.
Selina's relative Md. Abul Kashem said that Selina went to the market on Sunday evening to send money to her sick daughter in Dhaka through mobile banking. She did not return home later that night. Despite a lot of searching, she could not be found. On Monday morning, after receiving information from local residents, her relatives arrived at the scene and identified her body.On the spot, it was seen that Selina's mobile phone, medicines and a few raw materials were lying next to the body under the culvert. In this regard, Tala Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Shahinur Rahman said that arrangements are being made to recover the body from the scene and send it to the morgue. However, the manner of his death will be known after the investigation.
