BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khalde Zia's Adviser and wife of former Sylhet-2 MP M Ilias Ali, Tahsina Rushdir Luna, exchanged views with the journalists of Osmaninagar Upazila Press Club and Goalabazar Union Parishad on Tuesday.

After the exchange of views, she distributed leaflets with a 31-point demand for repairing the state structure among the people of Goalabazar.

During the exchange of views with journalists, Tahsina Rushdir Luna said that during the previous fascist Awami League government, journalists could not write freely.

Corrupt and looters silenced journalists by intimidation. They killed journalists Sagar-Roni. Even today, their killers have not been brought to justice. During the BNP era, journalists wrote freely. Journalists will be on the side of the people. They will present correct information. The nation benefits through your writings. We want the truth to be revealed through you, so that we can be freed from the propaganda of lies. When M. Elias Ali went missing, journalists performed their duties in very difficult conditions. You supported us at great risk. When our houses were attacked, we did not get the support of the police and administration. We got your cooperation.

Meanwhile, she distributed pamphlets among the local people in Goalabazar demanding 31 points for repairing the state structure.

She was accompanied by Osmaninagar Upazila BNP President STM Fakhr Uddin, Chairman, General Secretary Abdullah Misbah, Organizing Secretary Raihan Ahmed, Abdul Jamir, Acting Chairman of Goalabazar Union BNP leader Shahin Mia, former chairman and BNP leader Ataur Rahman Manik, Syed Kausar Ahmed, Sylhet District Jubo Dal Joint General Secretary Islam Uddin and others.
