With the motto "A country rich in animal resources, build a smart Bangladesh" an animal resource exhibition and awards distribution among farmers i Dohar Upazila was held on Saturday.

The day-long exhibition organized by the Upazila Animal Resources Department and the Veterinary Hospital on the ground of the Upazila Pilot High School.

Dhaka-1 Constituency Member of Parliament and Prime Minister's Adviser on Private Industries and Investments Salman F. Rahman was present as chief guest at the function and UNO Md Zakir Hossain presided over it.

In the speech of the chief guest, he said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is carrying out extensive activities with the aim of transforming Bangladesh from digital to smart Bangladesh by 2041.

In continuation of that, the government has given special importance to increase the production of animal resources at the upazila level, to create a market for dairy products by encouraging small and medium entrepreneurs to produce animals. As a result, I believe that entrepreneurs in Doha and Nawabganj upazilas will become self-reliant and play a supporting role in "A country rich in animal resources, build a smart Bangladesh".

He also said, today the livestock sector will go one step further through this livestock exhibition. The farmers of the country have met the nutritional needs of the country by rearing their cows, goats, and chickens. Farmers of the area are becoming self-sufficient in rearing goats and cows called Bøak Bengal brand. I think our farm owners will contribute to the goal of building a smart Bangladesh.

Upazila Animal Resources Officer Md. Shamim Ahmed and Upazila Cooperative Officer Arifa Banu were present as special guests. Dhaka-1 Constituency Reserved Woman MP Sheikh Anar Koli Putul, Municipal Mayor and Upazila Awami League Vice President Md. Almach Uddin, Dohar Circle Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Ashraful Alam, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Nurul Haque Bepari, District Animal Resources Officer Basna Akhtar and Freedom Fighter Commander Md. Rajab Ali Molla were present.
