BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said, the autocratic killer Awami League has destroyed the country's economy, education, development and democracy.

It has made a joke and farce with the people of the country in the name of elections. There have been suppression, harassment, false cases against the opposition party and the disappearance and murder of leaders and activists.

The Awami League did not allow anyone to vote to hold on to power by force. For almost 16 years, the autocratic Awami League and its allies had established a total misrule through an undemocratic method by taking away the right of the people to speak.

After the overthrow of the autocratic, murderer and fascist Awami League through a united movement of students and the public, Sheikh Hasina was forced to flee the soil of Bengal. We want to rebuild the country from the long-standing destruction of the Awami League government by implementing the 31-points to gain the trust of the people.

He made these remarks while speaking virtually as the chief guest at the district BNP biennial conference at the Narail Government High School grounds on Monday afternoon.

BNP Chairperson's Adviser Aman Ullah Aman inaugurated the conference by hoisting the national and party flags, releasing pigeons and balloons. In his speech, he said, "The democracy-loving people of Bangladesh have been protesting and struggling to establish people's right to vote, right to speak, and right to politics. Today is the time to establish people's rights."

Narail District BNP President Biswas Jahangir Alam presided over the biennial conference of Narail District BNP, and BNP Khulna Divisional Organizing Secretary Anindya Islam Amit and Co-Organizing Secretary Jayanta Kundu spoke as special guests.
