Warranted accused Alesha Mart chairman arrested in Dhaka

Police on Sunday morning arrested Manjur Alam Sikdar, chairman of e-commerce company Alesha Mart, from Banani area in the capital.
DMP's Gulshan division deputy police commissioner Rifat Rahman Shamim confirmed the arrest news to media.
Manjur Alam was accused in Money Laundering Prevention Act case and a warranted accused in more that a hundred cases of fraud filed by customers.
A Dhaka Court on 21 June 2023 ordered to freeze all properties of Alesha Mart and barred four persons, including company Chairman Monjurul Alam Shikder, from travelling abroad.
