The "Volunteer Conference-2025" was held at the auditorium of the National Archives Department, Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, at the initiative of Shawab to recognize and encourage the work of Shawab's volunteers on Saturday.

Iqbal Hossain, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports was present as the chief guest at the event and it was moderated by Borhan Uddin, Program Officer of Shwaab and chaired by S. M. Rasheduzzaman, Chairman of Shwaab.

He said, "Volunteering creates opportunities for people from all walks of life to participate in development activities from the local level to the national level. Volunteers are quick responders and do social service work to deal with any disaster in the interest of the society and the country.

The keynote speaker was Prof Dr. Chowdhury Mahmud Hasan, former Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Dhaka University. He said, “Volunteering is doing work that is not necessary for oneself with a spirit of philanthropy.

In his speech , Shwaab Chairman SM Rasheduzzaman said that Shwaab has been engaged in the service of humanity since its establishment in 1995. The organization is working in coordination with the local and higher-level administration of the Bangladesh government to conduct various activities, which will continue in the future.

The special guests were Engineer M Abdul Awal, Managing Director, The Structural Engineers Ltd.; Prof A.N.M Rashid Ahmad, Vice President, Islamic Division, ATN Bangla, and Mr. Aryan Mohammad Arif, Chief Executive Officer, Adhamya Bangladesh Foundation.

The special guests and co-sponsors were Mr. Nazmul Haque Shyamal, Media and Press Coordinator, Mr. Shafiqul Islam, Proprietor, RS Positive. Also present were Mr. Mohammad Aftabuzzaman, Director of Shwaab; Lokman Hossain Talukder, General Manager and various levels of Shwaab officials, as well as invited guests from the government and private sectors. A delightful cultural program was organized at the conference, presented by the Sandipan Art Group.
