Village doctor killed in lightning in Kurigram

Village doctor Hatem Ali, a permanent resident of Kaliganj Union in Nageshwari Upazila of Kurigram, died after being struck by lightning while harvesting paddy on Wednesday morning.
Death: Hatem Ali is the son of Ali, a resident of Kabiraj Para, Kumodpur, Kaliganj Union.
Medina Ali, UP member of Ward 8 of Kaliganj Union, confirmed the incident.
At the time of his death, he was survived by one daughter, two sons, and his wife.
This untimely death has cast a shadow of mourning in the area.
