The great Victory Day 2023 has been celebrated with great enthusiasm in Morelganj of Bagehat.

On the occasion of the day, Morelganj upazila administration organized a comprehensive program throughout the day.

On Saturday at sunrise, after 31 gunshots, flowers were placed at the freedom fighter monument. On this occasion, Morelganj upazila nirbahi officer SM Tarek Sultan, Bir Muktijoddha was present Liaquat Ali Khan, Additional Superintendent of Police. Ashiqur Rahman, Upazila Vice Chairman Mozammel Haque Mozam, Female Vice Chairman Fahima Chabul, Newcomer OC of Morelganj Police Station Mohammad Shamsuddin, Project Officer Md. Abdullah Al Jabir were present at the Victory Day parade.

Later, auspiciously inaugurated by the hoisting of the national anthem and the national flag at the upazila parishad ground, and the release of pigeons. Morelganj Thana police, Ansar VDP members, students of various educational institutions including fire service participated in the parade inspection, parade and display. In addition to upazila administration, brave freedom fighters from various unions, Morelganj police, Ansar VDP, fire service, scouts and all of the municipality participated in the parade.

Educational institutions, journalists attended the event. After that, on the occasion of the day, reception of the freedom fighters, garlanding of garlands at Bangabandhu's mural at the freedom fighter office, film screenings, cultural programs and various programs were held throughout the day. Also, on the occasion of the day, Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League, Sramik League, Volunteer League and all Union Parishads, Educational Institutions have conducted separate programs. Prizes are distributed among the winners at the end of the ceremony.
