Victims turns accused : Family holds press confce protesting false allegations in Sreepur

In Sreepur, Gazipur, a family has alleged harassment by authorities following a long-standing family dispute over land. The aggrieved family held a press conference to demand justice and ensure their security.
On Friday , at their residence in Kayetpara village, Barami Union, Sreepur Upazila, Sumi Akter, wife of the aggrieved party Asaduzzaman, addressed the media and read a written statement.
Sumi Akter alleged, we have had a long-standing land dispute with our uncle-in-law, Emdad Pradhan, and his family. On August 4, as a result of this conflict, my husband was physically assaulted. When I tried to intervene, I was also attacked and seriously injured.
Sumi Akter also claimed that parts of the administration appear influenced, leading to harassment that has left her family living in fear and uncertainty.
