Md. Abubakor Siddique, Koyra ( Khulna)

Allegations of bribery and corruption including various irregularities have been received against the assistant land officer of Koyra Sadar Union of Koyra Upazila of Khulna district. The name of the accused assistant land officer is Gauro Kumar Mandal.

The victim is Shahanur Howlader and the complaint source says that my father received 1.13 acres of property in the 4 khatians of Koyra Mouza SA 827, 763, 762 and 764 and after transferring 0.11 acres of property from that property, I/we have been occupying 1.02 acres of property in Ejmali for a long time by determining the boundary line in the khatians S, A 762 and 764. But Koyra Sadar Union Assistant Land Officer Gauro Kumar Mandal, with the help of Mujibar, Rafiqul and Nur Howlader, is continuing the activities of bribery and corruption in the Koyra Sadar Land Office. Everything, including the investigation report, is given in exchange for money. Even if the money is given, the report is not given in favor of him. On 06/11/2024, the learned Executive Magistrate Court of Mujibar, Koyra filed a case number MR-127/2024, making me and 7 others defendants. When the court sent the case to the Koyra Sadar Union Assistant Land Officer for investigation, Gauro Kumar Mandal did not go to the spot and filed a completely false report against me which has no basis. Because I/we are in possession of the said complaint land peacefully, including cultivation. Despite having complete legal documents of my said complaint land, Gauro Kumar Mandal received bias and bribe from Mujibar and 2 others and submitted an investigation report against me.

Even Gauro Kumar Mandal demanded a bribe to give the investigation report on my behalf, since he could not pay the full amount of the bribe he demanded, he gave the investigation report against me despite having the correct documents of my said land. Earlier, he tried to forcibly occupy my land and severely injured me by beating me, so I filed a case with Koira Police Station. No. GR 103/2024.

Koyra UNO Ruli Biswas said on his mobile phone that action will be taken after investigating the matter after receiving a written complaint. In this regard, he tried to contact the Union Assistant Land Officer Gauro Kumar Mandal on his mobile phone repeatedly, but he did not receive the call.
