VARD eye hospital free eye care camp held in Sylhet

With the help of Sylhet Biswanath Sadar Union Parishad Chairman Haji Dayal Uddin Talukder, 200 helpless poor eye patients of the area have received free eye treatment services. Haji Dayal Uddin Talukder, chairman of Biswanath Sadar Union Parishad, inaugurated a day-long free eye camp at his home in North Dharmada village on the initiative of Osmaninagar Verd Eye Hospital, funded by Mundata Aid UK and with the support of Association for Mesh Advancement Network (AMAN).
United Kingdom community leader Alhaj Md Ahad Mia, eminent social worker and educationist Sheikh Monir Uddin, Ward No. 2 member Abdul Malik Hannan, Ward No. 3 member Sheikh Fazur Rahman, Ward Eye Hospital Osmaninagar manager Shafiqur Rahman, Association for Mesh Advancement Network ( Aman) representative Sarafat Ali, distinguished Arbitrator Noor Mia and others.
In the beginning, Imam and Khatib Maulana Hafizur Rahman of North Dharmada Jame Mosque led the prayers. A team of Islamia Rashidpur regional branch participated as volunteers in the free eye camp in Anjuman Talamij.
It is to be noted that free treatment was provided to all patients participating in this day-long eye camp organized by Osmaninagar Verd Eye Hospital, funded by Mundata Aid UK and with the support of Association for Eye Advancement Network (AMAN). Besides, 30 cataract patients were selected for surgery and taken to Osmaninagar Vard Eye Hospital. Before this, a lunch was organized with all the visitors including the patients.
