Like the rest of the country, the measles vaccination program has been inaugurated in Brahmanbaria.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Abu Sayeed inaugurated the vaccination program at the Biam Laboratory School in the recreation area of the town on Monday morning.
At this time, the district's Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Noman Mia, Deputy Director of the Local Government Department Shariful Islam and senior officials of the Health Department were present. Children aged 6 months to 59 months will be vaccinated under the program.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Noman Mia said that 5.5 lakh children will be vaccinated in 9 upazilas of Brahmanbaria district under the vaccination program. The vaccination program will continue until May 10 at 11 permanent and 2,438 temporary vaccination centers in 9 upazilas.
