Upazila Administration conducts cleanliness drive to prevent dengue in Tongibari

The Upazila administration has conducted a cleanliness drive in Tongibari, Munshiganj, to raise public awareness about dengue prevention and destroy mosquito breeding grounds.
The drive was carried out on Saturday at 11:00 AM within the Upazila Parishad premises and the surrounding areas. During the operation, accumulated waste and debris on the Upazila Parishad grounds were cleared. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tanjima Anjum Sohania personally participated in the cleaning activities.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ms. Rezwana Chowdhury and officials and staff from various departments of the Parishad also took part in the drive. Relevant officials, including Upazila Parishad Deputy Administrative Officer Md. Nasir Uddin, were present at the time.
UNO Tanjima Anjum Sohania stated that administrative drives alone are not enough to prevent dengue; everyone must keep their homes, workplaces, and surrounding environments clean. Any stagnant water must be removed immediately. Alongside raising public awareness on this issue, the Upazila administration will continue its cleanliness activities.
