Sirajganj Ullapara's Boalia Post Office has been operating in a dilapidated shop for more than half a century.But there is 5 percent space in the name of the office.However, there is no own building.The operation of this office is going on in Boalia Bazar of Barahar Union of Upazila.A postmaster and a runner each work with the postmaster.

It is known that Aminul Haque's drug store has been working as a post office for 13 years.He is a village doctor.The local residents are also suffering in getting all the services of the postal department including sending letters, 13 villages are under this post office.

Postmaster KM Aminul Haque said that he has been working in the broken drug store for 13 years.The concerned said that this post office is extra departmental (ED).Entaz Ali, father of Barahar UP Chairman Zahurul Hasan Nannu, donated 5 percent of the space in Boalia Bazar for an office about 30 years ago. Along with the land papers, the local residents have applied to the Deputy Postmaster General (DPMG') of Pabna for the construction of the building.But it was not implemented.

Regarding ED post office, Aminul Haque said, activities have been going on in these post offices since the British era to ensure postal services for the rural population.It is appointed by the postal department.Postmasters get Rs 4,400 runners Rs 4,200 and postmen Rs 4,000. All the three posts are temporarily appointed by the authorities.But like the post office, various works are done here.

Barahar UP chairman Zahurul Hasan Nannu said that his father had donated the land but the postal department has not yet constructed the building.

Anwar Hossain, Deputy Postmaster General (DPMG) of the Pabna region of the Postal Department.He said that all the ED post offices which have their own land, are being listed for building construction.It bears the name of Boalia.
