UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Khasif Al Hamoodi visited International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) campus.

The Ambassador was later felicitated in a function at the Central Auditorium.Ambassador Abdullah Ali Abdullah Khasif Al Hamoudi was the chief guest and guest of honor at the event on Saturday. In his speech, he said that Bangladesh has good religious and cultural relations with UAE.

The United Arab Emirates is one of the countries that are playing a leading role in promoting and spreading the values of tolerance and human coexistence. Hopefully, IIUC will play an important role in promoting and spreading the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

IIUC Vice-Chancellor Professor Anwarul Azim Arif presided over the reception as a special guest. . He said that United Arab Emirates is a friendly country of Bangladesh. The UAE has a longstanding relationship with the IIUC. I thank the Ambassador for coming to visit IIUC. On behalf of IIUC, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees presented the honorary crest to the ambassador.

Earlier, the ambassador planted a tree at the IIUC campus and toured the campus and visited the classrooms and labs of the Sheikh Zayed Science and Engineering Complex of the Faculty of Science and Engineering funded by the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Trust and visited the second academic building of the complex under construction.

IIUC Finance Committee Chairman and BOT member Professor Dr. Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury, attended the reception. Engineer Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury, Media, Press, Publicity and Advertisement Committee Chairman and BOT Member Mohammad Khaled Mahmud, Purchase and Procurement Committee Chairman and BOT Member Professor Dr. Mohammad Saleh Zahoor, Chairman of the Internal Audit Committee and BOT member Prof. Dr. Md. Fasiul Alam, IIUC Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Machrurul Mawla, Acting Treasurer Professor Dr. Mahi Uddin, Registrar AFM Akhtaruzzaman Kaiser, Faculty Deans, Department Chairmen along with teachers, officers and students were present
