Two thieves arrested with stolen cows in Madaripur

Madaripur Sadar Model Thana police arrested two cow thieves along with two stolen pickup trucks in Madaripur.
Thieves with a pickup full of cows were arrested from Kulpaddi intersection of Madaripur-Shariatpur regional road, Madaripur municipal area on Wednesday around 3 pm.
According to police sources, a team of Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station manned a check post at Kulpaddi intersection while on mobile duty at night. From there, around 2.30 am, two cows were taken in a pickup van while going towards Shariatpur and they were stopped and questioned by the two people in the pickup van.
At that time, due to a discrepancy between their words, the duty officer suspected Md. Tariqul Molla (27) and pickup driver Robin Sheikh (25) and brought them to Sadar police station. After being brought to the police station, both of them admitted that they had stolen cows from Moksudpur in Gopalganj and were taking them to Shariatpur Gosairhat in a pickup van.
AHM Salauddin Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station, said that the case against the arrested is under process.
Arrested Md. Tariqul is the son of Mr. Ali Molla of Khanjapur Banshbaria area of Moksudpur upazila of Gopalganj. And Robin Sheikh is the son of Kitab Ali of Jagannathadi village of Saltha Upazila of Faridpur.
