Two persons hacked due to land dispute Gaibandha : Police did not take case

In Sundarganj Upazila of Gaibandha, the opponents hacked and injured two persons named Nitai Chandra and Hriday Chandra due to a dispute related to land. Both of them are seriously injured and are undergoing treatment at Gaibandha Modern Sadar Hospital for 5 days. In this incident, the family of the injured filed a statement at the police station, but the police did not record the case.
Jai Kumar Sarkar, the sister-in-law of the injured Nitai Chandra, made a complaint at a press conference at the Press Club Gaibandha office on Thursday.
In his written statement, he mentioned that there had been a land-acquisition dispute with his uncle Nitai Chandra of Khangua village of Ramjivan Union of Sundarganj Upazila of Gaibandha since before.
My uncle went to Ramjivan Union Parishad Chairman Huda Master to settle the dispute on July 30. After reporting the matter to the chairman, on the way back home that day at 7 pm, they came in front of Arvind Chandra's house, Adhir Chandra's sons Shipan Kumar and Sudeep Kumar, deceased Anil Kumar's sons Ajit Kumar and Ankan Kumar, deceased Atul Chandra's sons Sindhu Chandra and Arvind Chandra, along with the women of their house and unknown others. 4/5 people with sharp weapons, iron rods and batons indiscriminately assaulted my maternal uncle Nitai Chandra and Hriday Chandra with bloody injuries.
Later the locals rescued them and admitted them to Gaibandha General Sadar Hospital in almost dead condition. Currently they are battling death in Gaibandha General Hospital.
In his written statement, he also mentioned that Adhir Chandra Ganga, having failed in his attempt to kill his uncle's family, is still threatening to beat up his family and close relatives.
The family is currently living in fear of them. Not only that, they are so strong that even though the family lodged a statement at the Sundarganj police station on 31 July 2022, the day after the incident, the police did not file a case against them.
Meanwhile, Jay Kumar sought the intervention of appropriate authorities through journalists for legal assistance seeking the safety of his uncle's family.
