Two killed by lightning in Satkhira

Two persons were killed due to lightning in Pancharakhi in Kalarora and Biharinagar of Sadar upazila in of Satkhira.
Kalboishakhi storm and rain started across the district on Thursday afternoon. There was a massive lightning strike.
The deceased are Kamrul Islam (36) of Pancharakhi village in Kalaroa and Abdullah Molya (34) of Biharinagar village of Sadar upazila.
Kalaroa police station OC Mostafizur Rahman said that Kamrul Islam was picking boro paddy from the bill near to the house. At that time the thunder started. Kamrul Islam died on the spot due to lightning strike.
Satkhira Sadar Police Station OC Abu Jihad Fakrul Alam Khan said Abdullah Molya of Biharinagar village in Agardari area was returning home from the field.
As soon as he reached the yard, lightning struck the coconut tree and Abdullah was seriously injured. He died shortly after.
