Two companies fined in Boalkhali

The mobile court fined Tk 35,000 to two companies for low weight and lack of BSTI license in Boalkhali on Monday.
Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kaniz Fatema conducted this court in Hajirhat area of upazila on Monday afternoon.
She said, giving less weight to consumers compared to quantity. Haq Petroleum has been fined Tk 10,000 under the relevant section of the Weights and Measures Act and Al Qutubiya Food Products has been fined Tk 25,000 under the relevant section of the BSTI Act for producing and selling biscuits without a Certification Marks (CM) license.
