Two commuter trains inaugurated on Rajbari-Bhanga-Dhaka route

Staff Correspondent

The Bangladesh Railway on Saturday launched two commuter trains on the Rajbari-Bhanga-Dhaka route to ease the communication between Rajbari and the capital.

People, however, will be able to avail the services from Sunday morning.

At an inauguration programme held in Shibchar of Madaripur, Railways Minister Md Zillul Hakim said another train with new coaches would be launched on this route in future.

Besides, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would inaugurate a train on the Bhanga-Benapole route within the next two months, he said.

The minister informed that an elevated railway track would be built from Bhanga to Payra port via Barishal, connecting eight districts in the region.
