
Two arrested with Yaba in Halishahar

Two drug smugglers were arrested with Yaba worth Tk 2.5 million in Halishahar, Chattogram on Friday by the Bangladesh Coast Guard.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-or-Rashid shared the information through a press release on Saturday afternoon.
According to the press release, based on secret information, a special operation was conducted by the Coast Guard Outpost Patenga at 10 pm on Friday in the Dogir Khal area adjacent to Chowdhury Para under Halishahar Police Station in Chattogram.
During the operation, two individuals were found behaving suspiciously in the area, and upon searching them, 5,000 Yaba pills worth Tk 2.5 million were recovered, hidden in a clever manner.
The arrested traffickers are Ali Hossain (40) from Anwara, Chattogram, and Zakir (42) from Tajumuddin, Bhola.
The process of taking further legal action regarding the seized Yaba and the arrested drug traffickers is ongoing.
To maintain law and order in the country, such operations by the Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue in the future.
