Two arrested in Dohar for kidnapping businessman from shop

A library merchant was dragged from his shop and beaten with a hammer in Dohar, Dhaka. Later, the CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media Facebook. The police arrested two accused in the incident. They are Sameer Hossain (22), son of Anwar Hossain of Banaghata area of the municipality, and Jihad Hossain (23), son of Md. Ashraf Hossain.
On Thursday morning, two men picked up a businessman from a shop called Doha Library at College Crossing in Joypara Bazar and beat him up.
When the incident went viral, the Dohar police station conducted a raid and arrested the two accused.
Dohar Police Station OC Md. Abu Bakkar said that the police quickly arrested the two accused in the incident of snatching and beating them from the shop. Further legal action is underway.
